Test Competing Merchants
Do not become married to a specific affiliate
program even if it has performed well for you in the past.
Always tests your options and always see
if you can find a competing merchant that performs better
for your affiliate marketing efforts. This does not mean you
have to change all of your campaigns over to a new merchant.
Just change a single adgroup or even a single ad within an
adgroup and direct traffic to the new merchant.
If you find it converts better switch another
ad or adgroup over and see if the conversion rate holds. If
sales improve them you can make the switch, if not, you have
learned a lesson and you know one more thing that does not
work than you did before and become a better more informed
affiliate marketer in the process!
