1. Google Cash Campaign Example
________________________________________

After the past newsletter I received a lot of questions
about Google Cash and Google AdWords. So for those of
you who have not yet read Google Cash, here is a quick
example of the process.

Recently on one of our camping trips I had a very
difficult time starting our old generator. I thought
that it might be time for a new one.

So when I got home, I got on Google and did a search for
the keyword: generators.

There were only 1 or 2 AdWords on the right side of
Google’s search results for the term: generators.

Useful Information

Google Cash
Earn Thousands writing Google AdWords.

The AdWords Analyzer
It used to take me several different
tools and steps to determine which
keywords I should bid on. Now I
have one tool that does it all. I
enter a keyword into the application and it shows me a list
of all related keywords and how
often each was searched for and
how many campaigns there are
running for each keyword on
GoogleAdWords and Overture.
You need to see this!!!

5 Days to Success with Google AdWords
My colleague Perry Marshall has
written a very helpful e-course
called "5 days to success with

I recommend you read it at your

you the same way it helped me.

And the free listings were not very relevant.

With so few AdWords I thought there might be an
opportunity here. So I went to Amazon.com, who sells a
lot more than just books. They have an entire section
dedicated to generators. I was already a member of
their free affiliate program (Amazon Associates). I got
a link from Amazon.com with my affiliate ID in it. When
someone clicks on that link they arrive at Amazons page
about generators. If they purchase I get a percentage
of the sale.

So I put up a Google AdWords Ad that reads:

For the destination URL in the Google AdWord I use my
affiliate link that I got from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?tag=onestopgearsh-20&path=tg/browse/-/552808

Then I bid 5 cents per click for the keywords: generators,
honda generator and a few more.

Amazon.com’s conversion rate is quite good. That is, the
amount of people that buy something on their site in
relation to the amount that you sent them is good. Usually
over 1% and during the holidays from November to February I
have had up to 30% conversion rates on certain Amazon
products.

So it costs me $5 to bring 100 highly targeted visitors to
Amazon’s generator page. My average generator commission is
$10. If two of the 100 visitors buy – that equals
$20. $20 minus $5 advertising cost equals a profit of $15.

Now, granted this is not a wildly profitable campaign, as
there is not a great demand, but I am giving it as an example
to show you how the process works.

If any of this seems unclear – it will make much more sense
once you have read Google Cash. Also Google Cash greatly
elaborates on the processes involved in finding and setting
up successful and profitable campaigns.

2. The AdWords Analyzer
________________________________________________

The AdWords Analyzer is a great tool that saves a lot of
time and really helps to identify niche markets that have
little competition. I now use it whenever I am doing
keyword research. I have used it to find several untapped
niches.

Here is how it works. You enter a keyword into the
Analyzer. It automatically shows you:

=> A comprehensive list of all RELATED keyword phrases!

=> The number of searches that were conducted throughout
the previous month for each keyword phrase!

=> The number of advertising campaigns that currently exist -
for both Google AdWords AND Overture!

=> "Supply and demand" by giving you the ratio between the
number of any given keyword search and the number of related
websites so you can make more money in any niche!

You can use the Analyzer to identify high traffic search
terms that no one is buying Google Adwords for. Conversely,
the tool identifies niches that are just too competitive to
enter.

See the screenshot below. I entered the keyword: mortgage.

The Analyzer shows that for the keyword mortgage there are
232 Overture Campaigns and 29 Google Campaigns. Now that is
just way too many.

As I scroll down the list I see: countrywide mortgage only
has 3 Google Campaigns. This looks like a possible
opportunity to promote a mortgage companies affiliate
program using AdWords and the keyword: countrywide mortgage.

I recommend the AdWords Analyzer because:

=> It is a super time saver.
=> It is inexpensive.
=> It works fast and displays results that are very easy to
understand. You can also save the results as a spreadsheet.
=> It quickly identifies unsaturated niches, and search
terms worth building campaigns around.

3. Advanced Google AdWords Tip
________________________________________________

This information is not in any of the Google FAQs or online
documentation as far as I can tell. This is a little tricky
to understand at first but well worth studying, testing and
figuring out as it could easily double your CTR.

In Google AdWords, if you have a campaign with several
keywords, you can only have one title and one description
for all of your keywords. It is proven that your CTR goes
up when the keyword is displayed in your title.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have AdWords automatically
insert your corresponding keyword from your keyword list,
into the title and description?

For example:

Say you have an Adgroup with the keywords:

blue shoes
green shoes
red shoes
black shoes

And your title is: Buy shoes here

When someone searches for “blue shoes”, your title will
display: Buy shoes here.

Your CTR would greatly increase if your title was:
Buy blue shoes here.

Now there is a way for you to do this. You could do this
in your title:

Buy {KeyWord} here.

And you can also do it in your description:

We carry many {KeyWord}.

For example, if a user searched for "blue shoes" your
AdWord would look like this:

Buy blue shoes here.
We carry many blue shoes.

So, in the Google search results {keyword} would be replaced
in your AdWords listing with the keyword the user searched for,
as long as it is in your keyword list.

For more information on this and even advanced forms of this
you can visit a forum that is currently discussing it:
